  • So much to see! So much to learn! & PUFFINS!!! Great aquariums, AND hands on exhibits let you touch anemones and sea urchins, starfish and more! If you have a few extra dollars, the experiences really look like a great time, and very educational. Like any good aquarium they are helping to rehabilitate many of the animals there, and helping to educate the public on how they can help to preserve the habitat of these beautiful creatures.
  • Nice display and center; I actually give it four and a half stars. It's truly situated at the end of the road on the drive from Anchorage to Seward, right on Resurrection Bay. Lots of free parking, and it's all virtually inside (you can walk outside for the seal and bird exhibits if you wish, but it's optional. Great for kids. Absolutely superb. Everything's set up for them to see, ask questions and do interact with the staff. So for a family outing, this one's GREAT. It is pricey-- even with the coupon we spent $40 for a one-hour visit for two people. Ouch. Don't know what it would have cost us to have brought us and our four children as we would have 25 years ago. But I digress. Excellent exhibits and viewing on seals, otters, fish and sea birds. Good films being shown, and again, a great staff. However, I'd like to have seen more exhibits for the money spent. But perhaps I'm simply whining a bit. We DID enjoy it, very much.
  • Top quality aquarium! We love aquariums and were highly impressed. Although it is not the largest (probably 3 hours tops if you take your time), the tanks are well thought out and well maintained. Unlike many aquariums, you get to see into some of the areas where they feed and care for some of the birds and mammals. The staff was also very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely worth it!
  • Had a behind the scenes tour that was great. Very knowledgeable and personable staff. It's not a huge place for the price but worth it when you consider it's the only rescue facility of it's kind in the area. The displays and traffic flows are very well laid out.
  • Very kid friendly. I love the work they are doing to save wildlife-like the baby walrus who had 24/7 cuddle care. The overlook was an amazing place to stop and spend time. I saw many seals and sea otters in the wild after learning about them in the center. Don't miss the octopus who currently has eggs.
