  • Small but has great exhibits. The MOTE is spread between several buildings within an easy walk. The wife says the chili is pretty good in the snack bar. We bought a family pass so we can bring the gra...  more »
  • We used to love this aquarium. Now, with the death of the dolphin, no cuttlefish and a shy octopus who hid invisibly in a corner, we were a bit disappointed. Still worth a visit, but be sure and go at...  more »

  • Fun place for the kids (yes, even the 47 year old kids...) Plenty of neat stuff to see... Make sure you check out both buildings... I do wish the descriptions of the displays were more robust... They really need to put more effort into it. Other than that it is really nice.. Not huge but definitely good for a few hours.
  • God I love this place. Great for everyone, all ages and groups of people. About 20$ a person, but I recommend if you're a local you get an annual pass. There are some seriously awe inspiring moments to be had here. The sharks are amazing, the sting ray area is super fun, and I loved their new otter exhibit. Cuteness for hours!! At the end visit the park at the end of the island. Beautiful views of the #sarasota skyline.
  • This was a lovely place to visit. My wife and i love nature centers, bird rescues, aquariums, zoos and this place is top notch. There are so many volunteers that help explain all the different creatures and exhibits. They are very passionate about helping you and the little ones learn all about the world and our local sea life. Will definitely visit again.
  • Great place to learn all about things that live in the ocean & surrounding area. After visiting the ocean with my family, it was really nice to be able to show my kids what lives in the ocean. We came from the middle of the US so we don't get to see stuff like this everyday. I recommend this as a must visit!
  • A very nice place to visit for those who love marine life. Found it by chance as I was sightseeing around Sarasota. Everyone in the party was pleased including my 83 yo mother. The diner was good, the place was very clean and organized. Lots of helpful staff that would answer any question. Would definitely recommend it because of its attributes, and also because it does not break the bank.
