  • The museum is worth your time and money! It was so educational and Mel Fisher's story is not the only story within the walls of this building. What led my husband and I to this museum is that we both ...  more »

  • We accidentally walked in the wrong door, I guess. As we were waiting in the gift shop for our kids to use the bathroom prior to entering the museum, a woman stopped me and said that we couldn't use the bathroom. She went on and on about how bathrooms weren't for public use. I tried to explain to her that we were going into the museum but she said "you brought a big group in the door" like we were a group of teenagers on Spring Break. In fact, we were a group with a teacher, a nurse, and our three kids. I was so embarrassed! Needless to say, we left without ever seeing the museum. I was humiliated and the security woman would not let up even as we walked out the door. The entrance door said "welcome," but clearly professional families are not welcome to use the restroom before entering the museum. This was a total disappointment.
  • Do not buy anything at the shop that is advertised as actual treasure. All pieces are marked up 80% of their actual value. "Authetication" certificates with "Appraisal" certificates are completely fabricated values. Was told by a respected coin business that my $1500 piece of history was only valued at $300. Don't know how they get away with faking value on certificates but will be looking into it civilly.
