  • Awesome place, the glacier was amazing, it was busy but not over crowded with people, the medenhall falls were beautiful,  more »
  • This is a very good starting point for hiking to a waterfall or in the direction of the face of the glacier. From the Visitor Center itself glacier is well visible (of course provided good weather!). In the House a lot of attractions:)

  • The Glacier Centre was awesome. The reason it loses a star is because it was over crowded and there is no where to get a coffee or water. I completed understand they do not want garbage on site to attract animals but we were not warned about it ahead of time. We also would have liked to have been informed of "quieter hours" to plan our time accordingly. However the talks in the center, the staff and displays were excellent. The views were breathtaking. The pathways were clear and well marked.
  • This place is absolutely gorgeous! The glacier is vibrantly beautiful with waterfalls nearby. On a sunny day you will not be disappointed. Be careful when walking out on the lake during the spring and early winter. The ice can fracture and break. Even during the dead of winter terrain be sure not to walk too close to the face because the ice is not as thick being that the water is moving against the face. Another thing to be wary of is the fact that during the warmer weeks the glacier will calve, as in break, and icebergs will fall into the lake creaking a wave of breaking ice. Enjoy the view!
  • Nice visitors center with a little movie presentation about Alaska and the glacier. Staff was super friendly and informative, although we were there during a non-peak season. Still fun!
  • The visitor center was an educational and fun place to visit. It was an exhilarating experience to walk on the ice covered lake out to the glacier.
  • This park is a great place to see a glacier and waterfall when traveling with small children and grandparents. Trails were easy walks and well marked. Visitor Center was very informative and great views for those who didn't want to walk.
