The mystique and beauty of The Crown Jewels have drawn over 30 million of visitors from across the globe to the Tower of London. Kept under the watchful eye of the armed Beefeaters ever since 1660s, this world-famous collection of the royal regalia is still being used for important national ceremonies. Look for the signs of usage on crowns, orbs, scepters, medals, and robes, and learn about the symbolism of each object. The oldest item in the collection is the 12th-century spoon used for ritual anointing. Watch the video of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II to get the whole picture. • Well laid out access allowing good information & viewing of jewels and associated historical artifacts. The whole tower & environs are fascinating. Tower Beefeaters are approachable and only too happy share their invaluable knowledge. All the Tower staff are well mannered, helpful and cheerful. Well stocked souvenir shop/s, terrific cafe. Could spend all day at this wonderful London asset
  • Definitely worth to see, but make sure you have time to read the descriptions. It will help you understand what you see. Otherwise, these will be just beautiful regalia with beautiful jewels. But you can get more out of your visit here if you use your reading skills 😀 Expect some waiting time in the queue too. Anyway, very worth it.
