With a matinee booked at the Albert Hall, we dropped into the Science Museum for lunch and enjoyed pizza & salad while perusing the guidebook. The displays cover science, technology and engineering.... more »
It was free like most museums in London, and it was amazing. I specifically enjoyed the Space section and loved how there were so many interactive installations there which give you a dynamic experience. The museum has several different sections each dedicated to movement (cars, engines planes), space, medicine etc. It's a great experience to be able to see the evolution of human life through the evolution of science. It's usually crowded on weekends, so go in the morning and weekdays.
It's reputation is well earned. There is a good mix between adult and child learning. Lots on interactive parts and areas on intricate detail. It's huge so give yourself a day to have a good look around. Free entry and no-one is pushing you to buy stuff. Near the tube, well worth a trip.
