I and my boyfriend accidentally popped in this bar after a long walk by the River Thames. We were pleased to find out about happy hours (from 5 to 8 pm), so we got decent beers only for 2,95 pounds... more »
I love Mary Janes!!! Every evening Mary Janes runs a wicked happy hour, this is across a various selection of drinks. For £10 get a bottle of house wine (actually really good) or buy one get on free on cocktails. As Mary Janes is a gin bar, the majority of the cocktails are different Gins with different mixers but to me this is awesome. Additionally Mary Janes has the best burger in London... Everyone I take to this haunt raves about the food and rightfully so, it really is great and worth every penny which fortunately doesn't come to too much.
This is the perfect hang out on a Friday night, when you've finished work for the weekend and want to let loose but still be able to hear the person next to you. The interior is nicely done, elaborate with chandeliers and the odd velvet splash. The bar is always busy but luckily there's an upstairs and downstairs bar so you're never waiting too long for a drink. There's usually a DJ on a Friday night who generally plays chart music with the odd old school classic RnB song. There is of course a small dance floor which is usually packed full of people but there's always room for one more. This is a good place to meet friends for a couple of drinks, its reasonably priced and a good start to a Friday night.
