  • Not too big, it is about a dozen streets in a grid covered from the sun which is a good relief for shopping. Mostly fake clothes and Turkish ornament shops. Everything is up for bartering. Just have.....  more »

  • Hustle, bustle and haggle. Not for the feint hearted, it looks like they all go to the same wholesaler. Nice for those who like to haggle. However, with a beautiful harbour outside and stunning scenery, would you really need to go? Nice place for a rest from the sun. Its not that big but thankfully is covered
  • Nice to see and visit and is probably one of the most authentic experiences you can do in turkey. The people will try and get you to come in every shop. They speak many languages too most of them so you cant really escape. They are nice to talk too but very pushy, just like most sales. Where you see no prices you have the ability to haggle, you can sometimes haggle on places with prices!. Never settle on first price, always say no. I have found places outside the bazaar better price price wise as they have less custom than in here. There are toilets, one we went too cost 3 lira and was an absolute dive so perhaps try and go somewhere beforehand. Its very close to the marina where you can find an array of beautiful food. The atmosphere is quite electric everywhere around here and is not stop busy everytime I have been. If you don't want to go into any shop, the best way is just to completely ignore them and walk on by.
