The capital of the Philippines and the "Pearl of the Orient," Manila truly resembles a gem: rough on the outside, but glittering within.
Kick off your visit on the 11th (Thu): contemplate the waterfront views at Manila Bay and then contemplate the long history of Fort Santiago. Keep things going the next day: see the interesting displays at National Museum, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at San Agustin Church, and then get to know the fascinating history of Intramuros.

All of 7 km (4.3 mi) long, the island of Boracay remains an idyllic destination drawing beach-goers from around the world.
Kick off your visit on the 14th (Sun): stroll through White Beach, enjoy the sand and surf at Diniwid Beach, and then kick back and relax at Yapak Beach (Puka Shell Beach). Keep things going the next day: discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour.

The country's second city, Cebu City boasts a number of interesting colonial buildings, thriving commercial areas, and historic temples.
Kick off your visit on the 16th (Tue): take in the spiritual surroundings of Taoist Temple, steep yourself in history at Magellan's Cross, contemplate the long history of Yap Sandiego Ancestral House, then contemplate the long history of Fort San Pedro, and finally examine the collection at Basilica del Santo Nino.
