Built on seven hills, Lisbon has experienced a renaissance in recent years, making it the cultural star of Portugal.

Step out of Lisbon with an excursion to Miguel Mourao Ocean Skipper in Lagos--about 3 hours away. Next up on the itinerary: steep yourself in history at Castelo de S. Jorge, admire the masterpieces at Museu Calouste Gulbenkian, view the masterpieces at A Arte da Terra, and wander the streets of Alfama.

The most well-known city in the Algarve, Faro boasts a cliffside location with popular beaches and a thriving cultural scene.
We've included these beaches for you: Praia de Cacela Velha and Cabanas de Tavira Beach. Head to Mercado Municipal de Loulé (Desde 1908) and Tavira d'Artesfor plenty of shopping. Change things up with a short trip to Praia do Barril in Tavira (about 36 minutes away). The adventure continues: walk around Ria Formosa, get to know the fascinating history of Old Town Faro, delve into the distant past at Roman Ruins of Milreu, and look for gifts at Canastra.
