The capital city of Malawi and its largest, Lilongwe serves as an important center of economy and transportation for the area.
Escape the urban bustle at Kuti Wildlife Reserve and Nature Sanctuary. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Chongoni Rock-Art Area and Kungoni Centre of Culture & Art. Step out of Lilongwe to go to Nsanje and see Mwabvi Game Reserve, which is approximately 6h 30 min away. There's lots more to do: stroll through Lilongwe Wildlife Centre, appreciate the history behind World War I Memorial, make a trip to Kumbali Cultural Village, and get a sense of history and politics at Parliament Building.

As Malawi's second-largest city, Blantyre represents the country's main commercial and industrial hub and boasts a dynamic array of food options.
Do some cultural sightseeing at La Caverna Art Gallery and St.Michael's and All Angels Church. Escape the urban bustle at Mount Mulanje and The Way of the Cross/ Njira ya Mtanda.
