Take a journey to the jungle and get close to exotic animals at Khao Kheow Open Zoo. Situated deep in the jungle, about 100 km (62 mi) from Bangkok, the zoo showcases rare animals such as red pandas and tigers. Make your way through by guided tour, bicycle, or electric cart. You can opt to take a night safari, although visibility can be more limited. Bring snacks with you, as you won't find anywhere selling food on site save for a convenience store. • It’s a really good safari in a spacious location. Ruined though by allowing cars to drive through, absolutely packed with cars and car fumes. Not good for visitors or for animals I’m sure! Should not ...  more »
  • I haven't been to all the zoos in Thailand, but this open/safari style zoo, which is about 1.5-2 hours away from Bangkok is one of the better ones. Still below par from Western zoos, but it is a good ...  more »
  • A huge Zoo, an incredible number of animals in very large enclosures. Be sure to visit this place, you can get there in several ways: 1. Buy relatively inexpensive excursion to sell everywhere. The downside of this approach is the attachment to a group run dress up quickly, but you will wait for someone and not see the entire Park. 2. Rent a car and get yourself-the most inexpensive and the correct way on the car will be able to slowly explore the whole Park with comfort. Navigator will help reach places without problems. 3. Get to the Park by taxi (Grab application will help to solve problems with taxis in Pattaya) 800-900 baht to one side most likely the same taxi driver will be waiting for you to take back, and for movement through the Park rent a golf car (Passport required!). The Group/family of three to four people, will be more convenient and cheaper than the excursion. Anex'a have this excursion worth $30 per person, i.e. 3960 bat for four. We've got: 860 * 2 = 1720 taxi round-trip, 250 * 2 +100 * 2 = 2 700 adults and two children's tickets, renting Golf Kara 700 for three hours, total 3120 baht for all without fuss and in the individual chart. Prices valid at the time of writing the reviews. Specify the time of the show in advance to plan your move through the Park.

  • Amazing place, huge space! Better to rent a golf kart (3 hours only 700 bath!) Food and drinks inside for a very affordable prices. Amazing zoo with a thousands animals in very good conditions, very less cages! We spend 4 hours(because at 6 was closing time😂) but maybe with 2 kids we even need more!
  • Amazing place. We hired a golf cart to get around (highly recommend as the place is huge). The first animals we encountered were deer, just roaming around an open area so you can feed and pat them. The experience only got better from there. A huge array of animals, in large clean enclosures, many of which you can hand feed including elephants, hippos, giraffes, even the rhinos. The food only costs 20 baht! We will definatley be back the next time we visit Bangkok.
  • Nice place! Renting a golf car is a must if you want to see all. Beware of monkeys, do not leave some food ir bag unattended. Dont get closer to the ones with babies.
  • Good place for kids to get up close with animals. Good facility. Recommend to be there early, it could be very crowded in the afternoon.
  • Excellent place for watching animals. Huge area with lots of shows. Penguin show, Elephant swimming, big cats-lions show, tigers, hippos and lots more. It`s my family's favourite zoo and my son loves feeding the deers and hippos. Weekends are usually packed.
