Wong Amat Beach, Pattaya

3.0
#9 of 21 in Parks in Pattaya
For a little less crowd and noise, head to Wong Amat Beach to sunbathe and swim. Its recent popularity has resulted in tall luxury condos and 5-star hotel resorts dominating the skyline, yet the beach itself remains quiet and clean, with a relatively new promenade. The still-active fishing industry here ensures good quality seafood options, plus bars for sitting with your cocktail and watching the world go by. For those who want to swim in the pristine waters, make sure to wear swimming shoes, as the rocks in the sea tend toward the jagged side. • We were called among other things on the section of the Wong Amat Beach, which connects from the city out to the great sea-food restaurant and even Coral Beach and we were there pretty much to the height of the flood, the trees offering shade and invited the rocks to sunbathe , the water was crystal clear and we could see many fish. It was also rather deserted and quiet. What we also saw was a shack, we not wanted to know, what is behind it. Inserting the tide slowly changed the image - there more and more people came and the water was increasingly cloudy and began to smell also very fine bubbles ascended it. I'm pretty sure that didn't come from the people, but rather of the sewers that had made up the ebb slide, so that the waste water into the sea are pulled. So, we have decided for us hinzugenen only at high tide. Fine sand is on the remaining Wong Amat beach. Many hotels and resorts have drawn here their skyscraper located directly on the beach at the height and there are obviously stretches of beach that are delineated with a floating barrier - which is used in some departments, that the relevant section of the beach not cleaner is with the dirt, the sea to rinse. For us, Wong Amat and Coral Beach is the nicer part of Pattaya, but if the whole thing were still clean, then it would be very good. I want to install something else: I don't think the the fish and shrimp, and also the drinking coconut which offered the lifeguard for the European stomach are appropriate - and you get the souvenirs, clothes and caps in the city at half the price. I already know the beach vendors are poor and want to earn a is even, but if I me there would cut a deal, then only on textiles, and certainly not on food.

  • Always stop in North Pattaya and the rest only on this beach. Great sunset at sea, the water is quite acceptable for swimming. On the beach, you can always make great inexpensive massage, what has always been a spouse, you can have a tasty meal by purchasing from vendors selling fresh fish, shrimps, mussels. There are cafes with beer and cocktails. On the beach there are trees, you can always hide from the searing Sun.

  • We were in 2005 and 2007 long beach garden in the hotel. A very nice hotel right on the sea. Was everything excellent. the sea was just not inviting. We no longer do that, we go better on the island Koh Larn. There, the sea is much clean.
