Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden, Pattaya

4.3
#1 of 16 in Parks in Pattaya
Stroll the extensive grounds of Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden and enjoy a diversity of onsite activities. The 202 hectares (500 acres) of expertly crafted gardens also house a major scientific center dedicated to the collection and study of cycads--woody evergreens that were once much more abundant than they are today. Explore the charmingly themed gardens (including French gardens, an orchid and bromeliad display, and a butterfly hill) and then catch a martial arts demonstration or enjoy a traditional Thai massage. If you work up an appetite, tuck into a meal at one of the two onsite restaurants. Accommodations are available for those wishing to extend their visit. Back after 2 years. A true theatre is now in place (with the session and the seat reservation (I remember the law of the strongest to settle who spoil the experience).) It is proposed that 5 scenace instead of 2, but the duration is shorter. Side show of elephants the also a better home without seats. Pity that too much time before the beginning is spent has the sale of photos. But the show is always of excellent quality. The Park is also perfectly well maintained. I loved it, the Valley of the dinosaurs... Not to be missed

Don't miss this! Really great way to spend a day. Gardens are beautiful and elevated walkways give a great view. The fake animals are over the top, but will keep the kids happy. New dinosaur area is pretty impressive and photo opportunities are endless. It's far from wheelchair or scooter accessible, although there's a shuttle bus tour available if you can't do the walking. International Buffet was actually worth it, although dining area is open air, so be prepared if it's a hot day. Also countless drink and snack facilities throughout. Opted to skip the show as there are better ones elsewhere in Thailand, but you won't find better gardens. Amazing.

Definitive 'Tourist trap'. The main central area is just horrid. Extra charges for everything, loud, and tacky. Never seen so many fake/plastic animals anywhere. Thousands of them. The gardens you see in the pictures can't even be reached by foot. You have to just look at them from elevated walkways at a distance. Just head to the outer edges and there are some smaller (still odd) gardens that are ok. The new 'Dino park' once finished looks like it'll be decent.

Awesome place to spend a day! The gardens are superbly maintained. I would recommend having trainers, get there early and prepare for walking and taking lots of pictures. I personally had two issues with the park and I hope the owners of the park read these reviews: Just before the mini zoo I looked up at a palm tree and saw a monkey chained to the top of the tree for our entertainment?? The second was a tiger used for pictures, again chained - not a good picture in the heat. I think it doesn't match this amazing place and the huge effort in maintaining it.

Amazing place to be there if you are in Pattaya. Don't miss it !! Go early if possible then you can cover all the areas and enjoy the beauty of the places. You can click wonderful pics on beautiful locations. Enjoy world class theatre show , Elephant show and tasty lunch in the restaurant inside. A must go place.
