Stand on a bamboo raft underneath a spectacular three-tiered waterfall by a turquoise forest lake at Kawasan Falls, a popular tourist area in Barangay Matutinao. You can take a canyoning tour and trek along the Kawasan River to see some picturesque villages in the jungle, while exploring the upper tiers of the waterfall. Take a dip in a hidden azure lagoon, or just sit back and enjoy tranquility provided by lush greenery. To truly find peace and quiet, get away from the lowest tier of the waterfall, which is packed with thatched huts, food stalls, and raft rentals. Kawasan Falls Reviews
We first visited Kawasan, not knowing that there were more than 1 falls. So I was very dissapointed. However later when we went canyoning, I discovered that there were so much more levels and so much ... more »
Great place to visit and swim, as long as it is not so crowded. If you are driving, you can park at the church or along the main road. Be prepared for some walking as the waterfalls is still further i... more »

We collected on bike in the hotel in Moalboal (3 in 4 backpacks bike :)) and took us to the point of departure, where offered us coffee and some breakfast. In the same view out several guides, divided into small groups (we had one just for us two). About 30 minutes after walking, begins the path between trees, River and pools. There are several beautiful waterfalls with jumps up to 10 meters, the water is at the perfect temperature for cooling and in the final stretch of the route, there are some food stalls, although it is best fresh, newly split coconut. At the end of the route, they served us a very rich food. Ceres bus passes through the door of the headquarters of the company, so at the end of the route you can output directly to the next destination. For the activity you don't have great physical condition or be very daring, jumps can Dodge if you say it to the Guide. He wears slippers of sport and dry bag. In total the activity lasts about 4 hours.
This is a very overpriced venue for a view of very average falls. Told the motorcycles for the two KM trip is only available for seniors we are then passed by lots of young people on motorcycles. At 100 peso for 2 km made up your own mind if it is value for money. Internet informs us for a small fee someone will carry our bags. Self appointed guide wanted 600 Pesos. On top of that we have 40 pesos for foreigners but only 20 for locals. Arriving there a card table sets you back 600 pesos and to use the raft advertised at 150 pesos is actually 600 pesos. The rafting, under the falls, was a worthwhile experience but the rest of it to seasoned traveller's would be well below average. There are lots of ways of spending a day in the Philippines without visiting Kawasan Falls and it's overpriced venue
Amazing experience, super nice people, no over selling (only a bit) for tables near the falls. Insider trick, keep walking past the first set of falls, to the next one, only another 5 minutes, and a lot less traffic. Very pretty.
It's nature and I love it. What I didn't like about the place when I visited was, it's way too crowded... And I'm sure the place that time isn't conducive for nature tripping or site-seeing. You can't see or hear much of the nature and birds, mostly it's the people and their noise we're visible and audible....
Awesome place. The falls are simply beautiful..make sure you walk up past the first waterfall are there are another 3 to see, the top one is actually the nicest in my opinion. Be careful of the people there..someone tried to sell me and my boyfriend a table to use for P300! We paid P50 to park our bikes but also make sure you do pay this to the parking attendant. Definitely worth a stop..its absolutely beautiful!
Very nice place to travel to while on vacation. But better to go there during the week because weekends very crowded.

Where to stay in Moalboal
The main town of Moalboal lies as the foot of the National Highway, but this urban area isn't really what tourists, tour operators, and travel agents mean when they say Moalboal. The area where the vast majority of visitors stay lies just to the west, along Panagsama Road. This west coast area has a couple of clusters of accommodations, located next to the two main beaches. Ranging from hostels and guesthouses fit for all-action backpackers and divers, to luxury resorts catering to pampered spa-goers, this part of Moalboal caters to the whole spectrum of sea-loving tourists.
