A wilderness protected area established in 1990, Dzanga-Sangha Reserve consists of several distinct sectors where endangered species live. Covering a total area of 6,865 sq km (2,650 sq mi), the park is known for its lush vegetation that shelters diverse wildlife, including forest elephants, forest antelopes, and gorillas.
